Bringing glamour to the bathroom

10 September 2010

British brassware manufacturer Samuel Heath has added a luxurious twist to its classic Fairfield range with a stunning, cut-crystal lever design, made in collaboration with Dartington Crystal.

The Fairfield Crystal Levers range, available on Fairfield taps and shower valves, sees these British companies come together for the first time, combining traditional time honoured techniques and renowned British craftsmanship with modern technology and contemporary style. Fairfield taps and showers are meticulously formed from the purest Northern European brass, hand polished and plated in up to 34 individual processes by Samuel Heath craftsmen. The crystal levers are, in turn, handmade and individually created by a team of craftsmen and feature intricate hand cut detail.

Both companies value high quality design, authentic craftsmanship and close attention to detail in their work.

Vanessa Allan, marketing manager for Samuel Heath, comments: "Samuel Heath and Dartington Crystal have a strong British heritage, with Samuel Heath's history dating back to 1820. Both companies value high quality design, authentic craftsmanship and close attention to detail in their work. It is these shared values, combined with Samuel Heath's constant exploration of new styles and finishes, which make the Fairfield Crystal Levers a synergetic collaboration, embodying the current trend for opulent fittings and personalised bathroom design."

Inspired by the rich heritage of the Arts, Crafts and Aesthetics movement the Fairfield collection includes taps, thermostatic showers and accessories designed with a softer more luxurious style in mind, reflecting the role of the bathroom as a personal sanctuary tailored to individual needs and space.
