All shades of grey have monopolised the interior pages for the last few years, but there’s a new hue in town! Navy is becoming a brave colour for homeowners to use in order to update their walls, furnishings and decorative accessories.
We’re considering easy ways to tap into this trend, without a total re-haul.
Into the Blue
If you’re not scared of committing to the colour, a lick of paint to create a ‘statement’ wall will give instant impact. Farrow & Ball has a colour to suit your blue mood. Whether you fancy an Indigo (we recommend Pitch Blue®), a French Navy (try Drawing Room Blue®) or a Midnight Blue (Hague Blue®), there is a blue to suit you.
To keep it ‘clean’ pair with white/pale surfaces or contrast walls, and to add some warmth we recommend accessorising with copper and dusky pinks.
If painting a wall is on the extreme side for you, this trend can be translated into smaller items. Some cushions, art or perhaps chairs would help bring Blue into your home without committing time and effort into redecorating. We love the selection at John Lewis. A variety of shades and patterns are in abundance meaning you can mix and match to complement your existing furniture.
If however, a splash of colour is all you’re in the market for, our Ink Blue Large Bella Vase , Large Ink Blue Flower Jar or Little Gem in blue can help ease you into the theme. We like to mix the navy Gem vases with a selection of clear and amber pieces too for variety.
